Qualifications:
Valid BC Teaching Certificate in good standing, array of professional development certificates, valid drivers license.
This position is looking for a candidate experienced in teaching primary education and learning interventions. A successful candidate will have knowledge of techniques for blended learning and teaching classes with mixed abilities.

Language Assistant/Reception
Job Title: Language Assistant/Reception
Reports To: Principal- Elizabeth Williams

As a key member of the school’s instructional team, the Language assistant and receptionist is primarily responsible for providing support to staff, students and education assistants and the daily operations of the school Grades 1-7.

Receptionist will:
Answer phones Monday to Friday while doing tasks for staff and school 8:30 a.m. -10:30 a.m.
Support teachers:

Supporting the Language program for developing any worksheets or curriculum
-
Support Teachers for any photocopying for lessons
-
Create a monthly newsletter for all programs

Take messages for teachers, and staff
-
Print time sheets and forward to the principal for signing
-
Ensure attendance is taken daily, using DRUMS (if you require training, we may get you on zoom)

Document all calls and incidences that may occur in the school.

Create staff folders and maintain all filing procedures

Create student folders with teachers and maintain all filing procedures
Language assistant: will ensure to the best of her/his ability work to support all staff, and that the school operation is in order in accordance with Gitwangak Education Policies and procedures for all language departments 10:30-4:30 p.m.

Outreach Worker/Parent Programs assistant
Job Title: Outreach Worker/Parent Programs assistant

Summary:
This position is from January 2026-July 2026 and may be extended Based on Funding.
Under the guidance of the Daycare Manager, ECE Supervisor & Daycare team you will provide Support to the Aboriginal Headstart on Reserve (AHSOR)/Daycare programs and Parents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create a schedule for a parent & tot program to for infants and toddlers ages 0-3 years who are not attending any childcare programs
• Provide workshops for parents of the Aboriginal Head start on Reserve Program
• Inclusive programming to involve extended family members
• Participating in staff meetings as required, and other language teachers to review needs
• Assist to Arrange facilitators to come into community
• Provide healthy and physical activity field trips
• Travel for supplies for the outreach program
• Collaborate with other agencies to ensure programs are not duplicated

• Assist Manager and ECEs to Create Guidelines for the outreach program

Class 4 license
Full-time position, 40 hours per week. Regular hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with flexibility required for evening or weekend workshops as needed.
Wage: $20 or based on experience/ECE Certification will include wage enhancement
